We are sad to announce that on May 20, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Merwin B. Rice of Osawatomie, Kansas, born in Gardner, Kansas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur James and Mary Rice (Davis); his granddaughter Madison Rice; and his siblings, Ernie, Dick, Roberta, Ethelyn, Gene, James, Art and Clara.

He is survived by: his wife Ardyth Horttor; his children, James Y. Rice (Andi) of Nampa, ID, Aaron Rice (Angel) of Linn Valley, KS and Angela Weiss (Chuck) of Lebo, KS; his sister Emma Rice of Raytown, MO; his grandchildren, Austin Weiss (Ashleigh), Misty Weiss, Dylan Rice (Addie), Colton Rice, Nichole Rice and Conrad Rice; and his great grandchild Theodore Weiss. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Rice was always happy and smiling and very helpful to whoever needed help. I was shocked today when I saw his Obituary. I was sad. He was a nice man. My heart goes out to Mrs. Rice and the kids.
