He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Gooden and Lori Mae Gooden. He is survived by: his wife Esther L. Westergreen Gooden; his daughters, Peggy Sue Ross and Verna Gail Hawkins; and his sister Glena Alagozzine. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren.
