Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Barbara Reed of Osawatomie, Kansas, who passed away at the age of 92, on January 28, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ralph and Rena Ann Braithwait (Lee); her husband L. Wayne Reed; her siblings, William Vance "Bill" Braithwait and Janet Lee Braithwait; and her stepgranddaughter Jade Curry.
She is survived by: her former husband Donald B. Russell; her children, John Bentley (Judi) and Patricia Ann; her sister Judith Kay Wood (Jim); her daughters, Patty Breckenridge (Bryan) and Susan Brashears (Doug); her stepchildren, Barry Reed and Debi Hill (David); and her grandchildren, Michael Russell, Brad Russell, Tami Sauseda (Joe), Genie Chrisphonte (Marceau) and Rey Reed (Patricia). She is also survived by her twelve great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Barbara's memorial service is private due to COVID, however, it will be live-streamed on the Herman Lohmeyer Facebook Page for everyone on Saturday, February 6, at 11:00 a. m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Wesley United Methodist Church in Springfield, PEO Chapter IA for Cottey College, or the charity of the donor's choice.
