She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Oelke and Minnie Oelke (Holmes); her husband Robert Shackelford; her grandchildren, Bradley Hollenbeck and Melanie Hollenbeck Kroh; and her brothers, Morton, Phil and Jim Oelke.
She is survived by: her former spouse Marion Eugene Freed; her children, Girl Scouts, Junior Grange, Red Cross, Ronald Freed (Deborah) of El Dorado, Carolyn Norwood of Topeka, Linda Hollenbeck (Jim) of Merriam and Wayne Shackelford of Osage City; and her brother Bruce Oelke of Osage City. She is also survived by six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
