He was predeceased by: his parents, David Thomas and Elizabeth Gasser King; and his brother David King. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Aileen Steinhoff; his children, Marsha Cummins (Bruce) of Spring Hill, Aileen Carlson (Chris) of Osage City, Michael King of Osage City and Jeffrey King (Kareen) of Osage City; and his sisters, Mary Herzog of Ellsworth and Judy Griffin of Independence, Missouri. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; numerous extended family and dear friends.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Osage City United Methodist Church or The Boy Scouts of America and sent in care of the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel at 107 N. 6th St., Osage City, Kansas 66523.
