He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford L. Vandevord and Anna Mae Vandevord (Jones); his wife Mary Flora; his son Steven Vandevord; and his siblings, Bud, John, Robert Vandevord and Anna Louise Fender.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Burkett (Eddie) of Scranton, Cindy Cordonier of Kansas City, Eugenia Akers of Scranton and Richard Vandevord (Heidi) of Scranton. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
