He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Jackson and Bertha Jackson (Widau); his siblings, Ruth, Kathryn Bronson, Betty Bean, Charles, Fred "Fritz" and John Jackson; and his great grandchildren, Ryan and Erica.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Ellen Long; his children, Shari Buchman (Dennis) of Wilsey, Susan Eckelberry (Daniel) of Arma, Kansas and Denny Jackson of Osage City; his sister JoAnn Long of Osage City; his sister-in-law Jane Jackson of Osage City; and his grandchildren, Tanner Buchman (Ashley) of Council Grove, Travis Buchman (Micaela) of Council Grove, Tryntan Buchman (Kayleigh) of Council Grove, Michelle Ferrer (Eric) of Osage City, David Canon of Osage City, Ben Jackson (Savanah) of Lawrence, Kyle Eckelberry (Aly) of Frontenac and Caleb Eckelberry (Katie) of Auburndale, Florida. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel (107 N 6th St, Osage City, KS 66523). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
