She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Kuhlmann and Regina Schafer Kuhlmann; her husband Clarence L. Schmidt; her grandchildren, Robin Schmidt and Alex Hill; her siblings, Doris Redeker, Arnold Kuhlmann, Sonny Kuhlmann, Robert "Bob" Kuhlmann and Roy "Joe" Kuhlmann; and her son-in-law Dennis Burton.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas Schmidt (Laurie) of Olpe, Jeffery Schmidt (Rhonda) of Emporia, Glen Schmidt (Jacque) of Emporia, Deanna Burton of Emporia, Judy Andersen (Jay) of Shawnee and Charlotte Coble (Larry) of Olpe; and her brother Richard Kuhlmann of Emporia. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
