He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Hickey and Eleanor Hickey (Steinert); his sister-in-law Raeann Zorko; and his great grandchildren, Shelby Schreiner and Sawyer Keller.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene Hickey; his daughter Shannon Schreiner (Brian) of Hays; his grandchildren, Shawn Ballinger (MacKenzie Gianacopolos) of Hays, John Schreiner (Melanie) of Downs, Jesse Schreiner of Russell and Laura Schreiner (Rob) of Blue Hill, Nebraska; his siblings-in-law, Stanley Vonfeldt (Nancy) of Parker, Tom Vonfeldt (Nancy) of Lincoln, Tom Zorko (Sue) of Omaha, Nebraska and Mary Snider (Jim) of Jefferson, Missouri; and his pet Emily. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
