She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruel D. Mahaffie and Lena Marie Mahaffie (Marlowich); her husband Russell Earl Runnels; her daughter I. Renee Silvers; and her siblings, Lee, Claude, Raymond, Paul Mahaffie, Kathryn Weaver, Eloise Patrick and Minnie Midgett.
She is survived by: her children, Tresa Murphy (Mick) of Olathe, Pam Rushing of Olathe and Wayne Runnels of Paola, Kansas.; her grandchildren, Scott Murphy, Kim Novak (Jim), Monica Fromholtz (James), Mason Rushing (Leslie) and Gene Silvers (G. R.); and her great grandchildren, Justin, Paige, Alexa, Aidan, Julia and Jackson.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home (105 E Loula St, Olathe, KS 66061).
