It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Fred Bartel of Olathe, Kansas, who passed away at the age of 84, on January 12, 2023. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Bartel and Edna Bartel. He is survived by: his children, Melody (Bryan Cole) of Lenexa, KS and Mark (Sarah Bartel) of Garden City, KS; his family, Newton, Olathe and Belgium; his wife Suzanne Bartel; his siblings, Betty (Bob Frahm) of Wichita, KS and Dean (Lila Bartel) of Eugene, OR; his granddaughters, Madelyn and Breanna Cole; and his pet Lily. He is also survived by nieces and nephews as well as 4 grand-dogs.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are made to the Lymphoma & Leukemia society to help further cancer research.

“Dear Sue, Gary and I are very sad to learn that Fred has passed away. He was a kind gentle soul. We have good memories of you both when we were neighbors in Wichita. We are now living in Overland Park to be close to our grandchildren and I remember when you and Fred moved to Olathe to be close to yours. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
