He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Jakobe (Maloney) and George A. Jakobe Sr.; his siblings, George A. Jakobe Jr. (Alfredia Quick) and Mary Jane Jakobe; and his niece Mary Patricia Jakobe Gallegos.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Jakobe (Miller); his daughters, Janet Jakobe-Gray (Jeff), Julie (Jakobe) and Benelli (Jeff); his grandchildren, Jakob, Jordan Benelli and Jessica Gray; his sister-in-law Martha Sharkey; and his nieces and nephews, George A. Jakobe III, Michael Sharkey, Tracey Harrington and Molly Ismert.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the IPF Foundation (ipffoundation.org) in his memory.
