He is survived by: his family, Jimmie and Earl; his wife Jimmie Battle; his brother Clifford Dean Cartwright (Arnita Cartwright) of Ft. Worth, TX; his sons, Earl Jr. (Kathleen Cartwright) of St. Simons Island, GA and Lorenzo Battle of Columbus, GA; and his granddaughters, Bridget Herman, Valerie Barnes, Brynn Thompson and Rachel Malette. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
