With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Diane Nelson of Olathe, Kansas, born in Topeka, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 3, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Shields and Mary Shields (Phillips); her daughters, Debbie Lukas and Christine Nelson; her grandson Brent Olsen; and her brother Jack Shields.
She is survived by: her husband Vernon Nelson; her children, Terri Olsen and Greg Nelson; and her sister Janie Schmidt. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Diane's memory be made to Grace United Methodist Church and/or YES and Silver Set through the church.
