He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Burns and Blanche Burns; and his son Bryan. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Sullivan; his daughters, Kathy (Joe Addington) and Linda (Gene Smith); his grandchildren, Jennifer Addington, Amy Wiedenmann, Eric Smith (Liz), Matthew Smith (Amber), Andrew Addington (Alex) and Steven Smith (Tori); and his siblings, Floyd Burns (New York), Rex Burns (Kansas City) and Karen Dudley (Atlanta). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church (16000 W 143rd St, Olathe, KS 66062). A Mass was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
