He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Winter and Jeanne Winter (Gatschet). He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen (Schofield); his children, Shannon (Jon), Dianne (Brian) and Steven; his grandchildren, Charlotte, Adam and Eleanor; and his siblings, Mary (Jim), T. K. and Michel (Emmett). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home (14275 S Black Bob Rd, Olathe, KS 66062). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church (16000 W 143rd St, Olathe, KS 66062). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Austin's Bar and Grill (2103 E 151st St, Olathe, KS 66062). The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery (32320 NE Nevada Rd, Garnett, KS 66032).
