He was predeceased by: his daughter Benna Renee Neal; and his brothers, Charles "Charlie" Neal and Gordon Neal. He is survived by: his wife Mary Helen; his son Kevin; and his grandson Garrett.

A graveside service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Olathe Memorial Cemetery (730 N Chestnut St, Olathe, KS 66061).
