She was predeceased by : her parents, Etta "Shug" Cleeton and John Cleeton; and her husband DeWayne Greening. She is survived by : her sons, Brendan Greening and Kyle Greening; and her children-in-law, Lauren Greening and Abby Whitney.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hillcrest Christian Church (11411 S Quivira Rd, Overland Park, KS 66210).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Anita's name to a charity supporting unhoused families or pets.
