It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Albert Ivan Rees of Olathe, Kansas, born in Emporia, Kansas, who passed away on September 27, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gomer A. Rees and Rhoda Edwards Rees; and his siblings, Harold Rees and Mary Woodruff. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane; his children, Alan Rees (Danita) of Topeka, Vicki Brooks (Eddie) and Susan Jones (Tim) of Emporia; and his stepdaughters, Lori Peterson (David) of Shawnee and Kari Hitchcock (Dylan) of Olathe. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
