He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry C. Walz and Rose Esther Haneke Walz; his wife Ruth Marjorie Noah; his siblings, Albert, Harry, William "Billy", Virginia Elting, Dorothy Shubert, Gladys Fowler, Marjorie Weisner and Margaret Emmerton; his siblings-in-law, Leona (Shubert), John Elting, Lawrence Shubert, Homer "Pat" Fowler, Clarence Weisner and Homer Emmerton; and his daughter-in-law Brenda Walz (Dirks).
He is survived by: his children, Roma McConkey (Darris) of Olathe, Kansas, Leroy Walz, Stephen Walz of Crescent Valley, Nevada, Linda Thompson of Corona and Beth Johnson (Ralph) of WaKeeney, Kansas. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
