He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry William and Helen Wetzel (Kuhn); his wife Gertrude Ann Schmidt; and his siblings, Robert William Wetzel, Elvira June Setzkorn and Bonnie May Drewes.
He is survived by: his sons, Ron Paul Wetzel of Topeka and Scott William Wetzel of Sylvia; his brother Alan Leroy Wetzel of Offerle; his grandchildren, Cassidy Nicole Wetzel and Austin Wetzel (Cynthia); and his great grandchild Braxton Kale Shelite.
