John Clark wrote a sympathy message

“I served with John in VN - 409th RRD, 11th Armored Cavalry. He was respected and loved by all, even the officers. He was always kindhearted and cheerful, everyone's friend and comrade. During breaks in the action at base camp, he entertained and lifted us up by pinning any and every challenger in a wrestling match! The world has lost a truly good man. Blessings to his loved ones and family. Well done, good and faithful servant. Allons and Hand Salute - John C Clark, Madera CA”
