Elmer Jay Kathka Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Jay Kathka of Oberlin, Kansas, who passed away on May 14, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Arthur Kathka and Cora Kathka (Barrett); his children, Steve E. Kathka and Mara Lou Crawford (Kathka); his grandson Kim Kathka; and his siblings, John J Kathka, Arlin Kathka, Gilbert Kathka, Vonda Thrasher (Kathka), Lyman Kathka, Della Carter (Kathka) and Elner Kathka.
He is survived by: his children, Warren Kathka and Marrianne Ryno (Kathka); and his grandchildren, Marcus Machart (Karen) of Smithfield, VA, Mandel Machart (Pramila) of Sterling Heights, MI, Matthew Machart (Dakari) of Clearwater, KS, Cassandra Lentz and Callie Cummings (Christopher) of Leavenworth, KS. He is also survived by other great grandchildren, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Oberlin American Legion Post #70.
