As John Leroy departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John Leroy may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John Leroy leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cecil Breckenridge and Clola Ellen Breckenridge (Bitters); and his sisters, Patricia Bay and Carolyn Bartee. He is survived by: his children, Janet McClanahan (Jeff), Jodi Petit (Brian) and Todd Breckenridge; his sister Shirley Lee; and his great grandchild Oakley. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, family, the Swarts, and his caring neighbors.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Baalmann Mortuary - Oakley (304 E 8 St, Oakley, KS 67748). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
