Joan McCullough Hilzer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan McCullough Hilzer (Oakley, Kansas), who passed away on August 1, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Wilson and Alvina Wilson (Tegtmeyer); her grandmother Jo; her husband Jim McCullough (Art Hilzer); her siblings, Howard Adair Wilson, Billy LaVon Wilson, Vernon "Dick" Wilson and Vera Virginia Webb; and her stepdaughters, Leda Hilzer and Charlotte Lucas.
She is survived by: her children, Mikel McCullough of Oakley, KS, Da'Nella Anderson (Jeff) and Sheryl Johnson (Steve); her grandchildren, Erin Richardson (Jared), Kyle Anderson, Brett Suter (Regina) and Brook Plummer (Ethan); her stepgrandchildren, Chad Lucas (Mary), Diane Nolan, Brandy Wixom and Michael Wixom; and her sister Beverly "Bev" Wedermeyer (Melvin). She is also survived by five great grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren.
