With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Vernon Yates of Oakley, Kansas, born in Scott City, Kansas, who passed away on April 9, 2023 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Harvey Yates and Ruth Marie Yates (Garrison); his parents-in-law, Frank Milton Rebarchek and Norma Rebarchek (Russell); his brother Joe Yates; and his brothers-in-law, Rick Scott, Milton Eugene Rebarchek, Kenneth Rebarchek and Robert Bland.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Yates of Oakley; his children, Casey Rebarchek (Miranda Sharp) of Hutchison, Amber (Raymond Fagan) of Oakley and Stacy Yates of Oakley; his grandsons, Carter, Kyson and Kobe Fagan; his sister Judy Scott of Dighton; and his siblings-in-law, Charles Rebarchek, Neil Rebarchek of Grinnell, Frank Rebarchek (Pam) of Scott City, Cecil Rebarchek (Rebecca) of Healy, Alvin Rebarchek of WaKeeney and Norma Gayle Bland of Gove. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
