James Martin Albers Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Martin Albers of Oakley, Kansas, born in Hoxie, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 28, 2024 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albers and Mary Albers (Schoenberger); and his siblings, Bernie, LeRoy (Loretta), Bill, Mary LoRee, Helen Legleiter (Donald) and Roberta Robben (Phil).
He is survived by: his sons, James Martin Albers Jr. and Troy Lynn Albers; his siblings, Gary Albers (Chris) of Gillette, WY, Charles Albers (Lois) of Hays, KS and Evelyn Geist of Oakley, KS; and his nieces, Johnna Klein (Eric) and Karre VanPatten. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Baalmann Mortuary - Oakley (304 E 8 St, Oakley, KS 67748). A vigil service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Baalmann Mortuary (304 E 8 St, Oakley, KS 67748). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church - Oakley (422 E 6th St, Oakley, KS 67748). A burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery- Oakley East.
