He is survived by: his wife Anita Portschi; his children, Pam Evans (Ewing), Kevin Bertrand (Gina) and Brent Bertrand (Shilea); and his brother Richard (Elaine Bertrand). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
