He is survived by: his wife Amelia Gimbel (Ross); his children, Tracy Simpson (Marty) of West Plains, Missouri, Charlotte Boettcher of Jacksonville, Russell Gimbel (Josh McGirk) of Denver, Colorado, Randy Gimbel (Mindy) of Surprise, Arizona and Amber Heimerman (Brian) of Norwich, Kansas; and his sister Vicki Abele of Sun City, Arizona. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
