She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Congrove and Leona Congrove (Jarratt); and her brother Jerry Congrove. She is survived by: her husband Alva Lee; her children, Aaron Taliaferro (Monica) of Effingham and Megan Laurie (Jack) of Atchison; her grandsons, Mason Hawk of Atchison and Kade Laurie of Atchison; her sister-in-law Shirley Congrove of Kansas City; and her siblings, Jim Congrove (Dorothy) of Lawrence, Bob Congrove (Patsy) of Topeka, Helen Hall and Dorothy Reddick of DeKalb. She is also survived by three nephews, four nieces, and numerous great nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nortonville Pleasant Grove Christian Church (19861 Osage Rd, Nortonville, KS 66060). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Nortonville Pleasant Grove Christian Church and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home.
