He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Hager and Evelyn Hager (Smith); his grandson Riley Hager; his brother-in-law Don Johnson; and his parents-in-law, Marvin and Marjorie Drommer.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Hager; his children, Craig Hager (Nancy) of Norton, Jeff Hager (Kathy) of Norton, Pam Miller (Shawn) of Norton and Deyton Hager of Cambridge, NE; his sister Connie Johnson of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Austin Hager (Stepheni Peltier) of Norton, Adrienne Tremblay (Kade) of Penokee, KS, Nick Hager of Dallas, TX, Erica Giles (Jeff) of Dallas, TX, Dillon McConney of Norton, Dalton Miller (Torey) of McCook, NE, Baylee Miller of Mission, KS, Stephanie Hilburn (Jesse) of Almena, KS, Alec Hager of Colby, KS and Mason Hager of Cambridge, NE; his great grandchildren, Brantley, Logan, Mackenna Hager, Hadley Tremblay, Carson, Kayce Hager, Christopher Giles, Ariel Miller, Jance, Stetson and River Hilburn; and his brother-in-law Roger Drommer (Kathy) of Plano. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
