Sonya B. Montgomery Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonya B. Montgomery of Norton, Kansas, who passed away on September 16, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cale A. Sleffel and Sarah J. Sleffel (Mattson); her husbands, LeRoy Peil and Rex Montgomery; her sister Shirley Ricketts; her son Todd Peil; and her granddaughter Jessica Claybrook (Peil).
She is survived by: her children, Michael L. Peil (Claudia) of Bonita Springs, FL, Alan R. Peil (Lisa Laham) of Wichita, KS and Fonda L. Telthorst (Thomas) of Kansas City, KS; and her stepchildren, Monte Montgomery (Staci) of Almena, KS and Jeris Bartel (Reuben) of Meade, KS. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, many cousins.
