She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymon Critchfield and Queenie Critchfield (Smith); her husband Fred Edward Counter; and her brother Herbert Critchfield. She is survived by : her children, Lemilla Arp (David) of McCook and Jonathan Counter (Elisabeth) of Oberlin, Kansas; her grandchildren, Liliana Harris, Harlowe Arp, Cameo Counter, Brennan Counter and Henry Counter; and her brother Martin Critchfield of Denver, Colorado..

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gobber Funeral Home (121 N Penn Ave, Oberlin, KS 67749). A funeral service was held on Friday, June 14th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made out to Oberlin United Methodist Church or the Oberlin City Library.
