He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Unger and Mamie Unger (Garver); his wife Jane Unger; and his grandson Jimmy Garcia. He is survived by: his children, Kevin (Jeanie) of Oberlin, KS, Kimberly Ginther (Kelly) of Russell, KS, Kristy Beagle (Brian) of Pleasant Hill, MO, Kayla Unger of Oberlin, KS and Kenda Whittingham of Manhattan, KS; and his grandchildren, Katelyn Garcia of Colorado Springs, CO, Rena Unger of Colorado Springs, CO, Dalton Ginther (Danielle) of Olathe, KS, Danika Drake (Andrew) of Lyons, KS, Tanner Beagle (Marissa) of Sherman, TX, Blake Beagle of Sanford, FL, Ethan Beagle of Howe, TX, Andrew Whittingham II of Columbus, GA and Kandyce Whittingham of Boston, MA. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gobber Funeral Home (121 N Penn Ave, Oberlin, KS 67749). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church (404 N York Ave, Oberlin, KS 67749).
