It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marceil Wilma Haxton of Norton, Kansas, who passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcellus J. Koch and Wilhelmina M. Koch (Lackey); her husband Dean R. Haxton, Sr.; her grandson Ryan Haxton; and her siblings, Marjorie Koch, Robert and Leonard Koch.
She is survived by: her children, Dean Haxton (Karin) of Washington, D. C., Dennis Haxton (Jodie) of Wilber, NE, Susan Rhoades (Chuck) of WaKeeney, KS, Neil Haxton (Becky Wertenberger) of Grain Valley, MO, Janice Kirkhart (Brent) of Salina, KS and Patrick Haxton (Melanie) of WaKeeney, KS; and her siblings, Elmer Koch (Jeanette), Violenta Lockhart, Juanita Schmidt (Al Thompson), Stanley Koch (Carol) and Eldon Koch. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Plumer-Gobber Funeral Home - Norton (215 W Main St, Norton, KS 67654). Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (108 S Wabash Ave, Norton, KS 67654).
