It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta Margaret Ray (Norton, Kansas), who passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Loretta Margaret Ray to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Carlton and Irene Carlton (Ward); her husband Bill Ray; her grandson Connor Strutt; and her siblings, Mary Arehart, Gerry Urban, Connie Hendrix, JB Carlton and Tom Carlton.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Ray of Norton, KS, Patty Newell (Dave) of Norton, KS, Doug Ray (Kerri) of Norton, KS and Christine Strutt (Kendall) of Belleville, KS; her grandchildren, Michael, Whitney, Travis, Amanda, Kyle and Karlie; her great grandchildren, Hadlee, Bennett, Lucy, Kohen, Stetli, Payne and Noah; and her sister-in-law Virginia Smith (Carlton). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Connor's Cuddles, a foundation Loretta spent countless hours making cuddles for or the Norton Public Library and may be sent in care of Plumer-Gobber Funeral Home, 215 W. Main St., Norton, KS 67654.
