He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Edwin and Goldie Florence Kent (Heines); his wife Virginia Wickham; and his brothers, Charles and Edwin.

He is survived by: his children, Ron Kent (Nancy) and Roxane Kent of Norton; and his stepson Greg Kuiken (Andrea). He is also survived by three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
