He was predeceased by: his parents, Galen Ankenman and Jennie Ankenman (Kintigh); and his sister Evelyn Young. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Burd; his children, Kathie Hildebrand (Ralph) of Lenora, KS, Karen Rahe (Mike) of Dewitt, NE, Janet Ankenman (Ed Meitl) of Oberlin, KS and Johnny Ankenman of Norcatur, KS; and his grandchildren, Galen Hildebrand, Donald Hildebrand (Kelsee), Sarah Geerdes (Jason), Kayla McDougall (Josh), Nikki Stoner (Jared), Amy Schroeder (Jon), Carly Oliver (Hunter), Ariana Richmeier, Clay McMullen and Rylee Ankenman. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
