He was predeceased by: his parents, George Benton Sr. and Edna Benton (Spraker); his wife Leila Ann; and his siblings, George Benton Jr., Charles Benton, Margaret Campbell and Virginia McDaniel.
He is survived by: his daughter Brenda; his son-in-law Kirk Ulery of Oberlin; and his sister Viola Bulman of Gering, NE. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gobber Funeral Home (121 N Penn Ave, Oberlin, KS 67749). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oberlin United Methodist Church (102 N Cass Ave, Oberlin, KS 67749).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made out to Decatur County Hospital, Oberlin United Methodist Church or Oberlin Lions Club.
