He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Shearer and Rosie Shearer (Taylor); his wife Anita Glenn; and his siblings, Arnold, Dale, Eldon Shearer and Dorothy Morford.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Shearer (Annie) of Minden, NE and Stacy Geil (John) of Garden City, KS; and his siblings, Lonnie Shearer of Almena, KS, Roger Shearer of Logan, KS, Dean Shearer of Almena, KS and Doris Linden of Norton, KS.. He is also survived by four grandchildren; one great grandchild.
