He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Colip and Bernice Colip (Hines); and his sister June Dunavan. He is survived by: his wife Joan Eubank of Pratt; and his children, Janet (David Chestnut), Susan (Jim Backer), Polly Colip and Michael (Nanette). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren with seven spouses; and 10 great-grandchildren; one nephew and two nieces.

In lieu of flowers, suggested memorials include Norton Regional Health Foundation, Norton Christian Church, or Valley Hope Foundation.
