She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralf Wilson Galloway and Alice Luana Christensen Galloway; her brother Eldon Lorraine Galloway; and her husband Norman W. Vaughan. She is survived by: her nieces, Bolinas, Stinson Beach and Point Reyes National Seashore; her sister Doris Lucile Galloway Winteroth (Norton); her nieces, Kathleen Winteroth Hursh of Estes Park, CO, Suzanne Winteroth Goff of Meriden, CT and Carolyn O'Brien Vertucca of Concord, CA; her nephew Charles O'Brien of Concord, CA; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Asa Hursh of Los Angeles, CA, Austin Hursh of Rochester, NY, Amelia Goff Young of Meriden, CT and Allie Goff of Bethany, CT; and also, Corinne Hursh of Los Angeles, CA and Bear Young of Meriden, CT.
Memorials are designated to Whispering Pines, Norton, KS (where Ethel lived for 7 years) or Grace Cooperative Preschool, 2100 Tice Valley Blvd, Walnut Creek,, CA 94595 (where Ethel volunteered for several years) or to the family c/o Kathleen Hursh (Ethel's niece), 2091 Eagle Cliff Rd., Estes Park, CO 80517, who will divide the donation between the two above.
