We are sad to announce that on May 14, 2020, at the age of 103, Dorothy V. Tubbs (Norton, Kansas), born in Long Island, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest "Tommy" Ames and Anna Ames (Gebhard); her brother Richard Ames (Wilhelmina); her daughter-in-law Carol A. Tubbs; her grandson Michael E. Tubbs; her brother-in-law Don Tubbs (Doris); and her nephew Jerry Tubbs.

She is survived by: her children, Lloyd D. Tubbs (Shirley) of Long Island, KS, Kevin L. Tubbs (Mim) of Almena, KS and Kathie E. Martin (Tom) of Danville, CA; her brother Marlin Ames (Velma) of Salina, KS; and her grandchildren, Gail E. Tubbs of Lakewood, CO, Kimberly Lawrence of Danville, CA, Carissa Batson (Phillip) of Yukon, OK, Alicia Copper (Joey) of Wichita, KS, Stephanie Kiersey (Shane), Mackenzie Hallman (Clay) of Manhattan, KS, Thomas Ostmeyer of Austin, TX, Tamra Martin Williams of St. Louis, MO and Tim Martin (Janelle) of Magnolia, TX. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; five nieces and two nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to Whispering Pines or Long Island United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund.
