It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Leon Heisel of Norton, Kansas, who passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Leon Heisel to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Heisel and Veda Heisel (Black); his siblings, Loyal Heisel and Reta Barlow; and his nephew Marvin Heisel.
He is survived by: his former wife Betty Heisel (Brooks); his daughters, Shelby Uehlin (Bradley) and Darci Meitl (Brice); his siblings, Verle Heisel, Vivan Heisel (Victoria), Karen Carpenter, Lorena Taylor (Larry) and Connie Shea (Dennis); his grandchildren, Brandon Doebele (Natalie), Mika Fortin (Jacob), Gavon Uehlin, Laysha O'Shields and Faith Hissong (Gatlin); and his great grandchildren, Anna Marie, Kasen, Kruze, Orrin, Riley and Noah. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gobber Funeral Home (121 N Penn Ave, Oberlin, KS 67749). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oberlin Cemetery (1006 E Ash St, Oberlin, KS 67749).
