He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Clifton Hartzog and Dena Kroeze Hartzog Gillespie; his stepfather George Gillespie; his siblings, Earl Hartzog and Darlene LaRue; and his siblings-in-law, Martin LaRue, Patty Hartzog, Joyce Hartzog and Erma Gillespie.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Hartzog; his sons, Scott Hartzog (Tracey) of Norcatur, KS, Steve Hartzog of Garland, TX, Stann Hartzog of Jennings, KS and Stacy Hartzog (Jocelyn); his granddaughter Allison Hartzog of Olathe, KS; and his siblings, Bob Hartzog of Colwich, Floyd Gillespie of Newcastle and Dena Marie Way (Daniel Way) of Springfield. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
