He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Archibald and Mary Lue Archibald; his parents-in-law, Ambrose and Virginia Bruggeman; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Machen and Kirk Allred.

He is survived by: his child Rayeann (Mike) of Ankeny, IA; his grandsons, Max and Eli; his wife Norma; his son Michael (Tiffany) of Olathe, KS; his grandsons, Jake (Andia) of Greenwood, MO, Maxwell and Elijah of Olathe, KS; his sisters, Peggy Machen of Phoenix, AZ, Dona Purcell (Tom) of Phoenix, AZ, Becky Knackendoffel (Dick) of Grand Junction, CO and Marianne Wicker (Gregg) of Norton, KS; his brothers-in-law, David Bruggeman (Roxie) of Roseland, NE, Paul Bruggeman (Karla) of Rexford, KS and Chuck Cart (Sheila) of Salina, KS; his close friend Richard Miller; and his son Jake Ward. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Norton American Legion Baseball team or the Norton County Honor Hunt.
