The memory of Zenora Lorraine Gard of Newton, Kansas, who passed away on March 12, 2025 at the age of 96, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Duerksen and Irma Duerksen (Richert) of Hillsboro, Kansas.; her husband Alvin E. Gard of Canton; and her sisters, Clareen Klassen and Joyce Unruh.
She is survived by: her children, Lori Hein (Ken) of Newton, Leda Graybill (Melvin) of Goessel and Mark of Coffeyville, Kansas.; her great grandchildren, Alexandra Murray, Justice Murray, Dustin Johnston and Hannah Johnston; and her brothers, Dennis Duerksen (Norma) of Goessel and Donley Duerksen (Carol) of Goessel.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Newton (200 W 6th St, Newton, KS 67114).
