Willard Schmidt Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willard Schmidt (Newton, Kansas), born in Peabody, Kansas, who passed away on December 17, 2018, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Schmidt and Mary Goertz Schmidt; his wife Velma; his children, Larry Schmidt, Eugene Schmidt, Donna Sue Schmidt and Darlene Griffin; his siblings, Clarence, Waldo, Malinda Janzen, Rosella Friesen, Viola Tilson, Elsie Foth and Ann Reimer; and his grandchildren, April Smith, Elisa Sue Schmidt, Michael Schmidt and Jeannie Schmidt.

He is survived by: his daughter Janice Kessler of Newton. He is also survived by four grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with the Good Samaritan Fund of Newton Presbyterian Manor and the Alzheimer's Foundation.
