It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Walter McFarlane (Newton, Kansas), who passed away on January 15, 2018, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil D. and Hazel Irene Coulson McFarlane; his son Richard Scott McFarlane; his siblings, John "Jack" McFarlane and Katherine "Kay" Brown; his children-in-law, Jonathan Alexander Wild and Billie Hamm McFarlane; and his grandson Brian Scott Arellano.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Randall James McFarlane of Newton, Robert Michael McFarlane of Altoona, Ronald Lee McFarlane of Wichita, Jamie Marie Wild of Lompoc, Stacy Diane Arellano and Jacqueline Kay Wedel; and his sisters, Eleanor M. Sadowski of Holton, Jo Gheen of Redding and Ann Brooks of Newton. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
