He is survived by: his mother Marian Akers (Orpin); his wife Patrice Murphy; his children, Ian Akers, Ashley Akers (Noah Schmidt) and Megan Akers (Hunter Kerr); his sister Deborah Akers-Hurley; and his pets, Sophia, Lanie, Roxy, Stella and Sydney.
